A Message From the Lafazanis Family

Since 1965, Ratas Optical has been a proud part of the Danforth Greektown Community. We’ve always focused on providing extensive options for all budgets and optical needs.

In 2018, the Lafazanis family purchased this reputable optical business from the original founding owner’s daughter. She always appreciated how Ratas Optical never questioned anyone’s budget and their true core values revolve around providing unique options for everyone who walks through the door.

Our family’s promise to our community and clients is to continue the legacy and honour the great reputation of the founding family!

Now, we have one of the largest collections of original vintage and retro frames in the city. Our collection consists of unique frames from the fabulous 50s to the radical 90s and everything in between. Complementing our vintage and retro collection, we also carry modern and popular styles from European and North American frame suppliers.
